Good night by Rodgers.

9-15 117 yds 1 TD 1 INT

The interception was a complete drop by a receiver. Another couple passes were also receiver drops.

Just missed James Jones on a 40-50 yard deep pass as well.

It's only preseason so it doesn't mean much but if he performed bad the media would have been all over it. Can't wait to see how he does in the season opener and beyond.

I'm not a Packer fan, although I was a Favre fan. I don't wish this guy any ill will, but like you said, it's only preseason. First game in preseason for the Pack. Rogers has a long ways to go to stay not only healthy, but to also prove he has what it takes.

Suddenly Cornheiser or however the hell you spell it has turned into John Madden with his man-love of Favre. I am going to get a bucket in case I hurl.

Anyone hear Chad Johnson's interview on MNF? Does anyone know how many concussions this guy has had? I wish I could give him another one.

Totally glad Chad stayed in Cinncy so Jerry wasn't tempted to bring him to Dallas.

As far as Rodgers - seems like a decent night. Will see how it goes when the real bullets are flyin'.

Exactly.

I'm just happy it wasn't a bad performance tonight as the media would have been all over him and the Packers. Nothing matters until September, but they would have blown a poor game tonight up like crazy.

MNF tries too hard to get the non-FB fans to watch. A horrid move a few years ago and not a ton better with Cornsomethingerother.

I don't hate the guy, but he's certainly annoying.

Yeah and it was pre season and they were playing the Bengals who may have the worst defense in the league

If they're trying to get non-football fans (such as women) to watch, they should have picked a guy who's not growing out the wings on his bald head and who doesn't have a scraggly beard. Maybe they should get The Rock to be the third guy in the booth...at least he played college football at a major program.

Now you're talkin. But i say have Al Michaels, The Rock and Stone Cold. Now thats entertainment! Most may not like it, but it would still be better than Madden anymore.

I was reading up on Mr. Rogers tonight. He put up some pretty darn good numbers in college. I think he beat USC once and almost a second time. He may fill the bill yet for the Packers.

I can't believe all of you are getting so excited over a performance in a preseason game....

Once again... show me one post that shows excitement! Please. Someone quote it.

It was stated from the beginning that it doesn't mean jack. The point was, if he blew up and performed bad... there would be a lot of excitement from the media and haters.

Heh, I just wanted to be the 8th or so person to point it out.

So what you're telling me is that I am a little wound up on this topic?:dull::wink:

Just want the season to get on with. I really hope the Pack has a great year with Rodgers, and that Favre has a successful and injury free year in NY.

What I hate is how every two bit football announcer is weighing in with their analysis of how A-rod performed. I'm sorry, but Qadry Ismail wouldn't recognize a well thrown pass if it bounced off his facemask, so why do I have to hear him declare that "the Packers have found themselves a quarterback" after the first pre-season game? They're going to do this to him all year long. What a joke. I'm no Packers fan, but man I feel bad for Aaron Rodgers.

I hate the Vikings even worse than I hate the Packers, and THAT is saying something. But the Queens are going to destroy the Pack in that first game and as much as it pains me to say it, win the North.
