Over the top home team benefits from bowl itself (band, announcers, etc)

I get that one team needs to be labeled the "home team" but this is also a bowl game with 2 visiting teams. Perhaps I am just over sensitive, but it sure felt like the bowl itself showed a little home team over enthusiasm..

-When ISU got a first down.."isu first down" with WS got one " THATS ANOTHER WS FIRST DOWN.

-The bands all played to only 1 side. I get not messing up formations but it sure would have been nice to have at least some key ISU songs played to the B12 side in stationary formations.

-Putting the cameras on the dbag Hawk fans again and again. The AD should complain about this one. It was uncalled for and just was annoying.

-Reffing and many other points have already been discussed, but they probably play into how it just feels we were fighting uphill on many levels.

Again, maybe I am wrong, but it sure felt that way.

Rant over.

The hawk fan thing is definitely a legit beef. Their is no reason to do that except to antagonize the fan base that provided the majority of the attendance for their game. It was bs and frankly hard to explain why they would do that.

Or those guys could just not be dbags wearing their crapeye gear to our bowl game. If anyone is headed to the outback bowl remember your cyclone **** apparently.

I expect it from them, forgive them they know not what they do...I do not expect it to be pandered to by the bowl cameras and big screens in game. You did not see any Oregon or Washington crap up there on the big screen.

I actually saw the guy before the game and gave him **** for wearing his hawk gear. I'm sure he was hearing about it all night, which is exactly what he wanted. Then they put the ****** on the jumbo tron to rub all our faces in it.

Wait till you get home and hear the ESPN announcers. They were a couple of douchers.
This times 1000!!!
Greg McElroy Andy the other guy were terrible. Just as bad commentary as the the TEXAS Longhorn Networks announcers

I dunno I feel like I got lots of great insight on the 2 playoff games. I think they spent a half talking about it last night
At one point in the second half, I honesty think they talked about Bama/OU for 3 straight plays. Then they tried getting it back on topic, so they talk about how ISU’s defense played against OU. And then back to the OU/Bama game for a couple more plays. It was really actually bizarre.

I was at the "Seneca was in" game in Kansas City years back.

Two guys wearing FSU gear behind me heckling ISU all first half in the loudest most annoying constant way possible. Second half I overheard them talking about "our game" and realized they were Iowa fans who wore FSU gear and bought tickets to cheer against ISU, they knew absolutely nothing about FSU's team. They left when ISU started dominating Florida State.

Washington state message board has a thread “has anyone consoled the announcers yet”. ******** about the announcers is lame
Yeah, you're right. I should feel blessed, having learned that Minshew (and maybe a couple other guys) came to play a football game.

One of them was Brock Purdy, who made pretty much nothing but freshman mistakes (per the announcers). Two others were a couple of juniors who are obviously playing their last games for ISU, at least according to nearly constant tag lines every time Montgomery or Butler made a play. It's one thing to say that about a senior or grad transfer. But neither has declared for the draft yet. Matter of fact, Butler even shot down a story on twitter before the game started.

Minshew may well be a great guy. He may well be a great QB. But if I never hear his freaking name again I will die a happy woman.

Don't forget about Minshew's journey to where he is now. I know they went through his whole progression/timeline at least 4 times. I'm actually surprised they were able to call the game at all with their lips wrapped around Minshew's **** like they were.
