Bill Plaschke :Many of Iowa State's players walk off without shaking hands...classless ending to a classess effort..something wrong in that locker room

Iowa State slamming things on bench, McKay actually walked off toward tunnel...this team has issues, showed the whole game...

saw that on Reddit, many people (not all ISU fans) were refuting that and saying what a d-bag that dude is.

I wouldnt be surprised. Their body language was bad from tip off.

Were the UAB kids there to shake hands? Or running all over the court celebrating?

As for the issues thing.... That Allie LaForce kinda alluded to that as well. Guys bickering

hey cut them some slack. they where under the impression that dying your hair and just showing up wins you the game...

OK, this loss was bad. Terrible effort. We deserve every bad thing said about us.

But... Didn't their players rush onto the court afterwards? There was no hand-shaking to be had after this game?

And when is the last time Bill Plaschke has commented on college basketball?

i really hope this is not true. what possibly could have changed between last Saturday and today? so bizzare.

Murph and Andy were talking about this too. Can't behave like that, but not surprised with how some players reacted to officiating calls all year long.

I'm pretty sure they showed some of our players shaking hands. I can't blame them too much if they were really upset.

Not taking anything away from UAB, but I can see how they would be mad at themselves.

something happened between the tourney and that game. don't know what happened but the whole team looked mad at each other. not a good look considering the week they just had (maybe the best collective week in recent ISU basketball history)

The handshake line took place after the initial celebration. Some players went through it.

I must have been watching something different because I specifically remember Monte giving a bro hug to a guy I think he played with in AAU?

Did they react any worse than Ejim/Kane would at times last year?

Too many cheifs not enough Indians in the locker room. And too many guys not enough minutes on the court. Once McKay got added and there weren't enough minutes to go around the sum was going to be less than the total of the parts because he was better than established vets like Hogue.

Niang is a great player and a leader but its a problem when you mistake Naz Long for him repeatedly in terms of body language and mannerisms and yelling at teammates.

A loss like today probably doesn't happen if the team loses to KU last week sports can be brutal like that. I was certain it was ND going down not the Big 12 3 seeds and they prevailed but Northeastern cut that lead to nothing also.

Next year is a top 10 team no matter what.

Got it. I didn't see this part. I would guess some (or most) of our players were already in the locker room at that point. Not classless in that situation in my opinion. The effort today, though, was pretty embarrassing.

It doesn't matter if their players weren't there... The coaches were so go shake their hands, 0 excuses playground cry baby bs.
