The Big 12 is an annual host for Dallas, OKC, and KC either for the region or the 1st/2nd round. The Big 10 is also a hosts for Chicago. Hopefully the two conferences or even the MVC, UNI, Iowa, or Drake will step up next time.

Frankly, I know it's great for DSM, but it does nothing for ISU.

Well it does help to have Joe Castiglioni chair the selection committee. I am sure he did everything he could for the Big 12 teams.

ISU stood up to get it the first time with the hope all goes well and Drake host it in the following years.

If things go well this year in Des Moines, Kansas will want the Big 12 to host. They want close sites with a follow of the regionals in KC.
