Our travel plans got moved out a day so we’ll be on a 12-hour drive on Saturday. What’s going to be the best way to listen to the game?

It will be on SiriusXM, but you might get the OU feed. I haven't ever figured out how to know what team's announcers are gong to be on, but we use figure that any broadcast is better than none at all.

It used to be that local stations (like 100.3 FM the Bus) would block the streaming of games and put regular music on Iheart Radio. I think this may have changed. If you have a large data plan, maybe stream that on your phone.

I think that was due to their contract with the Cyclone Radio Network. They could broadcast but couldn't stream the games. I used to occasionally find a station that forgot to block it but it was hit or miss.

Sirius radio has the home team feed

Sirius phone app will have both the home and away feeds

You could just stream the call via the video feed on facebook too if you don't want to download another app.

I found out the hard way that iHeart blocks the game stream only if you're out of the region that would normally serve whatever station you're streaming. I had tested the app while sitting in my house during an earlier game and it streamed Walters and Heft just fine, but then when I was on the road out of state it blocked me from hearing the game and forced me to listen to 100.3's usual programming.

While on the road I downloaded the Tune In Radio app and signed up for the free trial and I was able to listen to the game. Then canceled the trial right after that.

Ya I used to have a bookmark folder of smaller Iowa radio station feeds for basketball season when I wanted to listen to the post game. You could usually find a station or two that didn't cut off the feed on their website.

Haven't really tried that in years now since I can get the actual radio feed in DSM.

Sirius is a must with our family on long road trips. Between cell phone dead spots and trying to find local radio, we ended up with a lot of radio free time when traveling before Sirius. Plus then you get all CFB and NFL games
