Coming this week for "On That Note."

“Woodstock 50” is officially toast. Regardless, we're approaching a major pop-music milestone, the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival, which took place Aug.15-18, 1969.

Think of your favorite songs by artists that performed at “3 Days of Peace & Music.” It isn't limited to songs played at the festival, although notable sound/video clips from the show are a bonus.

Reminder: PLEASE DO NOT POST CHOICES IN THIS THREAD. We'll launch the official thread late Tuesday (8/6).

So no Beatles, Rolling Stones, OR Led Zeppelin? Sounds like a dud;)

But it included Melanie. That made up for it. ;)

Someone better do Sha Na Na. (I'm looking at YOU @ImJustKCClone - getting all disrespectful to Melanie and all.)
I got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key.
I think that we should get together and try them on, you see

Those words and her pinched little falsetto remain burned into my brain to this day. I DESPISE Melanie.

...and I humbly stake my claim as a champion of the hand jive...but Bowser is over-rated. :D
Get your minds out of the gutter you young'uns!

Yeah, that's a bad one. I still remember Sophomore year of high school in typing class they had a theory that your speed/WPM would improve if music was played. That was one of the songs chosen.

However, I will give props to her for Lay Down (Candles In the Rain). That's actually quite a nice performance.

I would have to say Credence Clearwater Revival would have to be the 1 artist from Woodstock I would say would be my favorite of the lineup. I mean who doesn't like "Bad Moon" and "Proud Mary" right?

Kind of related to this theme but I would recommend researching The Incident at Kickapoo Creek. This was a rock festival that happened in 1970 that kind of had a Woodstock feel to it. Years ago someone made a documentary film on it and I got to see a private screening of it as my uncle was one of the people interviewed for it since he attended it. Really interesting to hear people talk about these music festivals from that time period as it is nothing like what we have today.

This is going to be difficult- I used to play the woodstock movie when I would get ready for class in the mornings. Down to 4 potentials right now-
