ESPN Insider Chad Ford had his posting for day 1 of the Orlando Pre-draft camp. I dont think I will be able to post the link because you have to have a username but he listed his players who were hot and players who were not. He has Blalock as a player who was not hot and here is what he said about him:

Will Blalock, PG, Iowa State: Many NBA executives thought Blalock was one of the players here in Orlando who had a shot of working his way into the first round. He's off to a rocky start. Blalock struggled against Arizona's Mustafa Shakur and ended the game with just one assist and six turnovers. His defense was much better than his offense, but getting outplayed by Shakur, who's ranked considerably below him, had to hurt.

Then just a little bit about Stinson:

Iowa State's Curtis Stinson dished out six assists for his team -- the same as Blalock, McNamara and Taquan Dean (the other three point guards on his team) combined.

Dont know if this has already been talked about but just passing along some information.

I'm sorry to hear that about Blalock. I certainly don't think that one day is indicative of his potential. You just hope he doesn't have a bad week and play himself out of the draft. I'd like to see him get the opportunity to go to training camp and show what he can do.

Any updates?

Hope this isn't redundant, but here's what happened Friday…

1:30 PM -- Game 9, Team Four 85 - Team Five 70

It was the only close game of the day with just a fraction of the scouts on hand with a number of them trickling out to catch afternoon flights.

Will Blalock impressed again, despite just 6 points on 3/8 shooting, he ran the show well from the point guard position finishing with 5 assists and helped his team to the only undefeated record.

Also for the victors, Curtis Stinson checked in with a very nice performance with 8 points (4/8) and 6 assists.

JR Pinnock led the team with 18 points on 6/9 shooting. He had one breakaway dunk and showed his one on one skills going by his man for a lay in off an isolation move.

Taquan Dean struggled shooting 3/11 and finishing with 12 points.

Joah Tucker, an undersized small forward who shouldn't have been here had the 20-30 bubble first and second rounders been at the camp, had 11 points on 4/7 shooting.

For the losing squad, Marcus Slaughter had 12 on 5-7 shooting and 8 boards, Torin Francis had 9 and 9, Keydren Clark had 10 and 4 assists, and Kenny Adeleke had 11 on 5-9 with 8 boards.

Check back on Saturday for a camp player performance recap as well as a measurement analysis.

(Blalock made the Top 5, while Stinson just missed the bottom 20)

26. Curtis Stinson -- 8.67 ppg, 4.67 apg, 50 fg%, 75 ft% -- Stinson's statistics were better than his college teammate Will Blalock's, however he played on the second line going up against bigger slower shooting guards. He had a good showing and there are scouts who appear to still like him. But his workouts haven't sparked much interest, and his biggest hurdle is fitting a position.

5. Will Blalock -- 6.33 ppg, 3.33 apg, 42.9 fg%, 50 ft% -- The quickest and most athletic point guard in camp. He lacks the decision making and vision of Farmar, but Blalock impressed with his overall grasp of the point guard position. He's already signed an agent so no returning, but should find a spot in the early to mid second round, with an outside shot of crashing the first round.

Undefeated (3-0) Team Four (Will and Curtis) dominated the other teams in the end: http://www.draftexpress.com/dedaily.php?p=667

Will has completed or booked nine workouts: Lakers on 30 May, Kings on 17 Jun, Nuggets on 31 May, Grizzlies on 1 Jun, Jazz on 27 May, Celtics on 22 May, Cavaliers on 20 Jun, Mavericks on 21 Jun, and Nets on 14 Jun. Rated #5 by writer at Orlando predraft camp 6-10 Jun. Looking good.

JJ Redick was rumored to be Celtics Round 1, No.7 draft pick. After his recent DUI (.11) and back problems requiring surgery, maybe Celts will pass on J J.

Curtis has logged 4 competed workouts: Knicks on 23 May, Celtics on 22 May, Warriors on 17 May, and Nuggets on 11 May. Rated #26 by writer at Orlando predraft camp 6-10 Jun. Looking borderline.
