I recently found an app that allows you to invest in shares of favorite NFL, NBA, MLB and MMA athletes. Including former Cyclones Allen Lazard, David Montgomery , Kene N. Tyrease Halliburton, Monte Morris, George Niang, THT, Deonte Burton and Matt Thomas currently and will have IPO in a few weeks for NFL rookies like Breece Hall, Charlie Kolar and Brock Purdy. Has anyone used the app? I like the premise and just started an account for fun and entertainment purposes to follow former Cyclones career and potentially make money (or losing) doing it
Thought it may be an app some of you may find interesting.

This sounds like a scam. You can't own shares of a person (that'd be slavery). Additionally, if you do "own shares," what value do they have? It's not like owning shares in a company where as an owner of the share you are entitled to part of the companies profits. But, in this setup, an owner of said shares isn't entitled to the athletes earnings.

This is nothing more than a market place made up by its participants with the value derived entirely by its participants.

Comical first post, this cant be legit. You should go scam on an SEC board, they arent the shapest tool in the shed.

I’ve been to Iowa State games since lil Clone Club when Seneca Wallace played. It’s a real app. It’s kinda llke Robinhood but for athletes
 
If you're going to sign up to pimp a product just be up front about it. The "golly gee I'm just a random person who just found this app and now would like to talk about it" is completely transparent and immediately tips people off you are dishonest.
 
Granted my first post could have been another topic with college football season or basketball recruiting in top 3 nationally. Thought other Cyclone fans would like to get stock of Allen Lazard for $5 or David Montgomery $1. For entertainment purposes with three Cyclones drafted to NFL this year. Breece Hall will have IPO on site in next few weeks as well.
 
I’m not even posting affiliate links to the site either. Just was curious if anyone had actually used the app, it’s a couple years old at least.

It's not an investment when it is is guaranteed that every share will eventually become worthless.

That said, maybe it'd be a fun time killer to waste money. Who am I to talk. I have wasted a ton of money on video games and have had some fun.
