I’d rather see a scrimmage in JTS. These don’t give you the opportunity to tailgate in the spring - that’s what most people wanted.

Ya, the Ames High one is rather curious vs just having an open JTS practice. Same with Gilbert.

A little different but good outreach and I can see how you can't move a FB practice to a more distant area very easily. But personally I would have preferred a spring game.

Ames and Gilbert both have field turf.
Maybe they're trying to keep the team off JTS grass.

This is also the year that the JTS grass is supposed to be replaced. I assume they'll want to start that as soon as weather allows.

When grass was first put in (spring 1996), the "spring game" was held at DM East.

This is why they are off site. Not at JTS.

I think CF should sponsor a spring tailgate. First Saturday in May.
