Alright, part of the moving on process is to start looking again, so suppose lets go to do that. I used EvanMiya.com to filter available point guards and then cut it down to the highest rated shot creators. Top 5 available players with those filters on are:
Kendric Davis - SMU
Yuri Collins - Saint Louis
Grant Sherfield - Nevada
Nijel Pack - Kansas State
Xavier Pinson - LSU
Davis and Pack aren't options due to list cutting and NIL respectively. Pinson is rumored to Xavier but nothing even remotely official is out there right now. Collins and Sherfield interest me a lot both just hit the portal in the last few days too so we'll have time to get in on them. Getting any of those 5 would be elite pick ups
The next few guys seems like good gets, just a step lower than the others above:
Jahmir Young, Charlotte - Already taking visits, might be too late. Competition isn't super overwhelming though with the likes of Maryland, Georgetown, and Wake Forest. He can shoot but defense needs work. Had a lot of very good games but some bumps in the road against higher level teams too
Tyree Appleby, Florida - Volume 3 point shooter who came on late last year. Also got to the line a ton. Stats from last year don't blow me away but it does seem like he really found something in conference play. If we needed to take him as a starting PG I think we'd be fine.
Antoine Davis, Detroit Mercy - Same deal as Young but more extreme. Also taking visits but not from teams I dont think we couldn't be out. If we could coach him to defend we'd have an absolute stud given he made about 4 3s per game last year.
So yeah, think our best bets are to go for Collins, Sherfield, and Appleby right now. If we can bring one of them in I'd be very happy
Also for some reason I thought Emmanuel Akot was a PG when he is not. I would still take him though
