Time and time again it has killed us tonight. On 3rd and 15+ why wouldnt you at a minimum bring 4 atleast! Very frustrating to watch buechelle pick apart a secondary with no chance to cover for 10 seconds. Rant done!

We rush 4 and force a bad throw. And then our offense goes backwards on 3 plays with a key drop. Typical.
I wasn't a fan at the beginning, but the D has been more than good enough to win this game. All questions from here on out need to go to the baffling offensive scheme we decided on tonight.
Look at the drive that led to the Texas field goal. IT was second and 15 or 16. Instead of bringing pressure they say back twice and gave up two gains of 7ish to set up the field goal. That is what the OP is talking about. Being passive in certain situations are poor decisions. You don't have to send the house, just rush 4 down linemen or 5.
To me it appears this staff likes to bring different looks each half. This way, the other team cannot make as good of adjustments at halftime. It was frustrating at first, but in hindsight worked & gave us an opportunity to win. Ruth gets that INT in coverage or we get a sack on the TD (so very close) & we had an even better shot.
