"One Million Iowa Hawkeye Fans"

So there is a facebook group called "One Million Iowa Hawkeye Fans"

Does anyone else find this kind of funny? As far as I know, we don't have a similar group to this. I would also argue that there probably isn't a university in the country that could get a group that big. Shoot, the political ones for Obama and Clinton I don't think got that high. Seems a bit foolish and arrogant to me to think there are 1,000,000 hawkeye fans on facebook! :biglaugh:

We're ranked 34th out of 50 in terms of member numbers. Ohio State is the biggest, with roughly 18,000 members. Go to this facebook group to see all the schools and how big they are:

It sounds like a good opening to a "sick hawkeye joke".

If prisoners have access to computers, it may become a reality.

  • a lot of pizza
  • a lot of people looking for a ride home and a couch to sleep on
  • a lot of faded, stretched out 80's bowl t-shirts
  • a lot of dumb
  • And to put it in business terms, that would be about 6 FTEs (full-time equivelants)

I know we love talking smack about our ugly cousins to the east, but seriously, can't we do better than 1,634 members???:

Sad that even the #1 Buckeyes have under 19,000 members...
 
i'm in a facebook group called "i'd rather have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother at the university of iowa".

Out of a million you would probably find 3 or 4 actual EIU graduates.
