On to the next

Sometimes things just don't go your way. Winning streaks are awesome, but a reminder we aren't invincible isn't a bad lesson to learn right now either.

We won 67% of our Big 12 games....think about that.

12-6 in conference play is pretty good.
2-4 against the Top 10 works.

We're still very good and very dangerous.

Yep, this was a frustrating game, but perspectively I'd have taken this in a heartbeat with how things looked in December.

I'd go into how previous regular seasons for ISU have ended when they went on to win a game or two in the NCAA's but maybe I'll wait for the 'Fire Prohm' thread. :)

I would love for Baylor to lose to Texas.

Puts us against Texas Tech or KSU in the quarterfinal. Then a probable semifinal matchup against WVU. I would actual really like a rematch against WVU on a neutral floor. Stranger things have happened.

Gonna be hard to beat OSU three times in a season.

It was tough the first two times so nothing new there.

The biggest challenge is confidence and getting back to playing smart. The refs sucked and I'll reiterate that I hope Prohm calls them out for it, but ISU also got caught up in WV's 'flow'.

The key vs. the press is to not press the ball and that happened a lot.

No doubt. We're heading into the tourney and playing well. That's a much different story than it was a few months ago.

If we rematch with WVU, maybe we should start guarding in bounds plays while standing on the out of bounds line. Apparently that is now allowed.

Happened multiple times in our game vs WVU at Allen, too. Both teams getting away with it. Not sure why officials seem to NGAF.

Agree. The refs were easily worth 10 points. I think we still could have held it even if Deonte was "on", but it just wasn't to be.

Matty and even Long missed a few normal looking 3's too. A few of those go in and the end is more nervous drinking than watching a car wreck drinking.

Not even mad. Absolutely nothing we can do when it's called that unevenly. My only hope is that we see these guys next Saturday night and the refs call a fair game.

I hope we meet them again on a neutral court myself. Before tonight's game, they got their asses handed to them by Baylor, TCU had them beat except for a very cheap foul at the end of game, and it took two OT's to beat Texas Tech all in the last five games played. Sooner or later the Huggy machine is gonna run outa luck.
