Actually the first one I thought of when we were working on the subject.

Back in the first days of my record collecting - going to yard sales mainly. This one was one of the first unknown records I obtained and played it a lot.

I particularly like the ending where the narrator convinces the kid not to drop out of school because they'll miss him on the football team.

Of course in this case it's about a dance called the Swim. But to swim is a sport so I'm staking a claim to the song for this week's OTN.
