Omaha Entertainment - Kid Level

This summer we are taking our 2 year old to the zoo in Omaha. Child loves Blank Park Zoo. Mother-in-law insists we go to Omaha, and she's buying so it'll be good.
Anyway, what are some other things she would enjoy? It'd be a deal where we spend the night too. Tips on where to stay and what else to do while we're there are appreciated.

omaha zoo may ruin blank park for you. Butterfly gardens across the interstate from the zoo. Could go to storm chasers game. If you like mexican food, everyone says best mexican around is at howards which is right by the zoo.

Strategic Air and Space museum is cool if your kids are into that. Neat for adults too. It's about halfway between Omaha and Lincoln. It's located right next to Mahoney state park which has some nice things for kids too like the animal safari.

Maybe not so much for her, but there is a bar called the dundee dell that has the largest single malt scotch selection in I believe north america.

Second on the Stormchasers game, also look into the Fun Plex. Kiddie rides, go-carts, bumper boats and Nebraska's only roller coaster. We stay at the Embassy Suites either downtown or out in Sarpy county by Werner Field depending on what we are doing.

My kids liked the children's museum there when they were around that age, so I second that option.

Second the fun Plex. A 2 year old would have a good time at the splash pad during the summer.
