I've been asked many times over the last 30 some years how I could be such a big Iowa State football fan. The answer is for days like today. It feels like it did waiting to go inside the Insight bowl in 2000. None of this was given and the coaches & players have earned every inch of what they've gotten. I'm going to sit back and enjoy today, regardless of outcome, with a big smile on my face in a way fans of blue blood programs don't get to.
