I promised myself as a guest I would only post one thread on this board but I feel like your fanbase is missing something obvious in the new college football world of NIL. I've seen people on other threads talk about crazy things like following iowa state on espn and paying 200 dollars a year for a hypothetical sports channel. If you really want to help your team then do what a lot of fanbases are organizing and let your money talk. Call to arms this awesome fanbase you have and get 100,000 alumni to donate 100 bucks a year. Direct the funds to a fan site like this and make it known that all iowa state football players can be sponsored by cyclone fanatic for 100k a year. If you can be the first to do it you will be in an awesome position and even as the other schools step up it will make you competitive in recruiting which will keep CMC and get you guys into a conference for the next big realignment

Maybe you are right. That is what it takes to be successful in CFB. But that's probably the tipping point for me.
I'm Alumni, been season tix holder more than 20 years, cyclone club whole time, and drive from Omaha each game. Thousands of dollars to my school over the years. Now if I we all have to contribute more to specifically pay the players, not sure I want to play that game.

Cydsho said it best. I've supported the school in many ways including financially but putting money into a fund to pay the players, I can't do this. I wish them the best with NIL though.

Thanks for the kind words about our fanbase. We do have awesome fans. And hope we can be conference mates.

Do any of you cf posters go to other team sites and try to pass yourselves off as experts and dole out advice and corrections….about things not even about ISU? I find this a little goofy. Wasn’t his first thread title something about “much needed clarification”? Thanks green Michigan guy, I guess.

OR....we could take our settlement money from OU, UT, and ESPN and write a check for several times that amount to buy our way into the B1G.

I can't even imagine how much Busch Light CW would buy with 10 million dollars.

Sparty- I for one really like you. Don't do this to me! I want you to stick around.

Did you know that Matt Campbell doesn't have an agent, and puts like half his salary in a trust for his kids? He's negotiated harder for his assistants to get raises and facility upgrades than for himself. Did you know that his staff is built on longtime close friendships and prefers to function as a unit in all areas? Did you know some of his highest ranked recruits have been sitting on the bench and barely gotten to play and he hasn't lost a single one? He's just built different. Plain and simple.

Don't believe everything you hear about what it takes to keep him around. CMC always says people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. And he knows we care as much as anyone has ever cared about anything. Is it really that hard to think that maybe just maybe that care is a two way street at this point?
