Great Win to start off the season. Soria looked a little shaky. I would probably go Hoch, Herrera, Davis 7,8,9.

Lets get those rings and keep the line moving!

Going off of hearing the Commissioner Rob Manfred several time over the past year, I really like how he is doing things, and his vision for the future of MLB.

Super impressed Volquez made it through 6 innings after his pitch count was up in the 4th. Lucky to avoid extra innings Sunday night. Would have been a shame to lose the opener with a 4-0 lead in the 7th. So un-Royals.

Two off days in a row sucks. Most relievers are volatile and I'm very concerned about Wade's drop in velocity.

Totally agree on Soria. Put him in if the starter needs 6th inning help until he gets settled. Certainly not the 8th. Hochever has been looking good

Rough start, but I think Soria will be fine. He's still got juice in that fastball and two nice breaking pitches.

Hopefully showing some signs of offense. Nice comeback last night.

Like last year, the key is going to be pitching. Starting pitching really looks like an unknown at this time. I also think that, just like from 2014 to 2015, bullpen production almost has to go down. That doesn't mean that they might not still have one of the best pens in the game, that level of production is almost impossible to maintain for years.

They have obviously proven that their unique offensive style can be effective at the Major League level. Like last year though, it will take large contributions from the corners and DH spot. If all of these things can be close to the level they were at last year, they can stay close into September, then we could see October baseball at the K for the third year in a row. Which might be the formation of a mini dynasty in KC.

Needed that one, hopefully that's the spark to get them going. Really struggling this last week plus.

Oh well, so much for that spark. Gave up six runs in the first with 3 errors and a wild pitch.

Kansas City is really lacking some starting pitching. Medlen and Young are way to inconsistent to be counted on. Look for them to pick someone up in trade.

Really depends on where they are come June-July. They gave up some pretty good talent last year to get Cueto and Zobrist...Im not sure how much they can afford to give away at this point to pick up another starter without setting the organization way back. Free agency is going to hit the Royals hard after next season, and they need to start stocking the pond, otherwise they are going to take a giant step back in 2018.

They gave traded away a TON of pitching last year just to get Queto and Zobrist. Agree that Medlen and Young are, at best, back of the rotation fill ins.

Title defense chances are looking pretty slim with the team not looking great and now Moustakas out for the season.

Incredible comeback today in the 9th to beat the Sox 8-7. This team might be down one brother with Moose's injury but as a collective team they have some serious moxie and heart.....hope Sal is okay, he goes down and the season is a wrap.

Hopefully the resiliency that our Royals have shown the past two years extends to the farm system, today shows it might.
