Week Five kicks off tonight with the Colts @ the Texans. The latest report is that Hasselbeck will get another start. Luck may or may not dress as the emergency QB, but I doubt he will. The team brought back Josh Johnson this week, and I'd imagine he'll serve as the backup with McAfee as the emergency QB. They're not deep enough to have three active quarterbacks for the game.

This would be a tough game for Indy even if Luck was healthy and able to go. Hasselbeck has been sick all week, so it's anyone's guess how effective he'll be. But if they can eke out the win it gives them a nice little cushion in the AFC South, which they'll need since they could easily lose four of their next five if they keep playing the way they have so far - Pats (dreading this one), Saints, @ Carolina, Broncos, @ Falcons.

Is it so much to ask that my fantasy football players (and their QB's) get healthy already?? Jeez I had Dez, Big Ben and Antonio Brown, and T.Y. and Moncrief.

It's probably a good idea for Luck not to face Watt and Clowney. Hasselbeck gets the ball out really quickly so it's not all bad for Indy.

Assuming Hasselbeck can go. He was in the ER until 2 am on Tuesday with what the team has simply described as "illness" and he didn't practice at all this week. But even then, I think I might take my chances with Johnson if there's a risk of Luck aggravating the shoulder injury.

You should start for the Colts this week. No disrespect to Hasselbeck, but he's been done for a few years now. The Colts should have just brought in some unfit know it all so he'd get clobbered by Wilfork, Watt, and Clowney.

Vikings on Bye this week, so I may actually have to do some work around the house on Sunday.

This week hasn't been quiet for the Vikings: they traded Gerald Hodges to San Fransisco for Center Nick Easton and a 6th rounder and I was just reading this morning that they are gauging interest on dealing Cordarelle Patterson. I kind of hope they move him, as I really like what Stefon Diggs had to offer in his first game action (even though he fumbled twice). Patterson is great at KR, but Sherels could be more than serviceable if he did PR and KR.

I disagree. He looked OK last week in his first start in something like three years. Certainly not an all-pro or a guy who can start all season and take a team to the playoffs, but he can keep things afloat for a few weeks. Which is more than can be said for most backup QBs around the league. But I will admit that he can't carry a team like the elite QBs can. He'll need a strong effort from the defense tonight and Frank Gore and the OL have to get the run game going. If he has to throw 30+ times they'll be in trouble.

Hopkins is the only Texans player doing damage. Indy should just have Vontae Davis shadow him in the second half.

Going to my first NFL game this weekend. Company owner has a suite at Arrowhead.
