NFL: *** Official Week 15 Thread ***

Lovely, Packers fans are going to be even more obnoxious

It hasn't been a great season for that. Pretty humbling when your franchise player goes down, and reality sets in. As a Packer fan, I have kept hope - and at least we have that. (Although this weekend is going to be a very tall order indeed.......)

Here’s my optimistic Packers fan take. Rodgers has to be the most valuable player to his individual team in the game right now (we’ve seen what the Pats have done without Brady) so it’s hard to quantify just how much getting him back improves the team. It will be a tall order indeed, but something tells me if they can pull off this game Rodgers can get the last two against division rivals (home against the Vikings (revenge) and at the Lions).

I think the reason Packers fans in general have hope is we’ve seen this team come back from the grave before with A-Rod. 2010 where we snuck into the playoffs and won the SB. 2013 when Rodgers came back from a left collarbone injury to win the North and beat the Bears on that 4th down bomb to Cobb. The Hail Mary’s. And even last year coming back from 4-6 to “run the table” and rattle off 8 W’s in a row. This should be fun to see how it plays out, and please God, do not let him re-injure that collarbone.

Colts Broncos pillow fight tonight. I predict Von Miller sacks Jacoby Brissett a minimum of three times and the Broncos as a team get to him at least six. It's the perfect storm - an elite pass rusher against a porous o-line protecting a QB who has somehow gotten worse at holding onto the ball too long as the season has progressed. This is going to be an ugly one. But hey, at least Indy's color rush unis aren't a disaster. I kind of like the blue on blue look for them.

Adrian Peterson has been placed on IR so his season is done. The Vikings made the right move letting him go. He had a couple of flashes in Arizona but nothing that would have justified what his salary would have been.

Yeah, I don't know if he'll find another team or not. He showed that he's still not ready to accept a reduced role in New Orleans, and there just aren't many teams that line up and hand the ball off 30 times a game. Maybe as a backup in Jacksonville. But again, that would mean accepting a reduced role.

He's kind of a dinosaur in today's pass happy offenses. He doesn't catch passes out of the backfield very well and he has proven time and time again he can't/won't pick up a block.

Well the Vikings did their part today. Glad to see them bounce back after a lackluster performance in Carolina. Marvin Lewis is just counting down the days until he's an assistant on Zimmer's staff. Good to see Teddy at the end too.

Teddy won't be a Viking next year. Case has absolutely taken his job.

The Vikings win the NFC North!
