Nothing like a little fog and rain in Liverpool. 62 degrees.

Who would've thunk it?
Who wants to hit the beach in Liverpool?

I somewhat kid. It might be very nice to have a rainy, 62 degree day in southern MO in July!

I think this might be over. Could be a very anti-climatic finish unfortunately.

Happy for Harman though!

Got my brutal weather day. It will be interesting to see whose game will translate better.
Harmon looks very confident after 'weathering' the first 9. I like his chances with his confidence and a 5 stroke lead. It would take an epic meltdown now.

9 more to go, but for sure! What a way to break out.

Isn't he 37? Not sure breakout is the correct terminology. Maybe breakthrough, although it seems like the open produces more "one hit wonders" than all of the other 3 majors combined.

The guys near the top are generally playing well, there are just no putts going in for anyone*. My friends are playing in an 8" cup tournament today. Today at the Open would be super interesting if they were playing with 8" cups!

* Anyone not named Harman. Dude is locked in

Yeah, this is a snoozer. Harman is easy to root for but I was hoping for at least a little bit of drama.
I think Fleetwood had the best chance. But couldn't drop a putt!

Straka still has a chance, but only if Harmon falters.

It's amazing Harmon doesn't hit his ball, for a stroke penalty, with all his pre-swing jittering!

I just read that Harmon is R hand dominant, but plays lefty. And that Mickelson is the same way.

Saw Brian toss his ball to the crowd after his last putt, R handed. My guess is that more young people might start their golf careers playing 'lefty'. It really makes sense. You can lead with your dominant arm and eye!

Edit: Baseball too! Swing lefty.

Baseball it makes sense because more pitchers are right handed and you start a step closer to first. Golf is more of a toss up, would definitely get benefits on some courses or lies but that goes both ways. Baseball you can also benefit depending on your eyes, my right eye is significantly better than my left, would have benefited hitting left handed opposed to right due to that.

A former teaching pro I used to play with said he feels everyone plays golf from the wrong side. He also said he doesn't know why we're not pulling with our dominant arm. I don't know if he's right or not but I find it interesting.

To be fair, he was right handed and played the traditional "right handed" golf clubs. So maybe he's just full of it.
