With the world ending on 12/21/2012, everybody has just 1 year left to make plans since it is already 12/21 in some parts of the world. Anybody have any big plans for the final year?

At least we have a leap day next year to give us an extra day's worth of fun.

I'm assuming ISU will go undefeated next year only to have the the world to end before the national title.

I'm not buying it, The Mayans couldn't predict the demise of their own culture, what makes them so sure they could predict the end of humanity....I believe it goes along with "sweep your own doorstep before sweeping others' metaphor....

The Mayans didn't predict the end of humanity. The there calendar just runs out. Common misconception.

The Mayans were good at math and they were very observant of cycles of events. If you are good at those things you can make fairly accurate predictions of a lot of things like eclipses and other natural events but the end of the world isn't one of them.

I'm not that old, but I have already lost track of how many doomsdays and end-of-the-worlds that I have survived.....I'll probably make it through this one too :skeptical:

I have doubts if the world will really end on the 21st of December 2012, the Mayan calendar may end on that day but it can also be a new beginning of another Calendar :-). Anyway another doomsday story I recently read, please allow me to share it here. The atomic experts who manage the Doomsday Clock moved its hands one minute closer to midnight Tuesday. The symbolic clock measures our recognized time before global destruction. Although it had gained a minute in 2010, that time was dropped today over issues of nuclear weapons, nuclear power and climate change. Source for this article: Doomsday Clock clicks one minute closer to 12. The last time the Doomsday Clock minute hand moved was in January 2010, when the Clock's minute hand was pushed back one minute from five to six minutes before midnight.
