***Official ISU vs OSU Postgame thread***

IMO.. Hate to say it but I have to chalk this one up to Freddie losing it for us.. Because why would we not foul them when they got the ball with 25 sec left.. That way we get the ball back with 20+ sec left to run an actual play...

What??

And give them the lead? Why would we do that????

It is truly the 8th wonder of the world how snake bitten we are in this type of stuff.

Honestly, is there any other school this tortured?

On to the next one I guess....

Please. The refs had a huge impact on that game. Just because you could be better doesnt mean the refs didnt also have a strong effect.

these are two of the best statement here, would like stats on the first.

Please tell me you forgot the pirate, otherwise please bring back negative rep.

I was pleasantly surprised we got out to an 11 point 2nd half lead. We battled, shot well, rebounded, etc. Like the KU game, you want to say good job, but for a team fighting to be on the bubble it is not good enough.

Three blown opportunities on the road. Yes, it is hard, but that is what being a good team is about. The difference between having a good season and falling short is often winning the close games. In 2010-11 we went 4-10 in games decided by 6 points or less. You HAVE to win these types of games.

The over the back that OSU shot free throws to take the lead showed just as much possession as Babb had at end.

I thought they got free throws on the Clyburn foul because they were in the bonus.

I thought Babb didn't get free throws, even though the foul happened in the back court, because he didn't have possession of the ball.

My question is if Babb didn't have possession (and the foul occurred before he even touched the ball, which it did), why didn't we get the ball back at the point it was in-bounded (in front of our bench) rather than close to where the foul occurred?

Lunardi has 6 in now. I don't know what would change. Plus, I think by the time its all said and done we are in 4th-5th place.

Think about where we are without a banked in three and a half court three??????? Boy its hard to be a clone, but I will be there on Saturday.

Fact of the matter is, if you want to win in a place you haven't won in 25 years you can't let the refs have their say. We had a chance to win the game going away. By letting the refs into it, you bring in the possibility of having the same thing happen to us that happened the last 47 times.

to say the refs lost the game is stupid. ISU should have had this game wrapped up with 2 minutes left.

Ejim not keeping the ball up to let Forte steal it. Bad decision by Clyburn to shoot quickly.

Refs weren't perfect by any means, but being butthurt at the refs is stupid. Team loss.

Ejim no call
Ejim foul
Clyburn over the back
No FT for Babb
Lack of foul against McGee.

Any more in last minute?

This is the one that I think they totally messed up. McGee got bumped and forced to go out-of-bounds. The first replay from the far end of the court showed it clearly. Hoiberg tried to make the point to the refs. There was no contact with McGee after he stepped out-of-bounds until after he took the shot. That should have been a foul on the in-bounds pass.

gibson needs to learn to pass.

can't have 67 turnovers.

gotta make those layups with under 20 seconds left or pass the ball.
