What an absolutely crappy end to a great race. Let them run to the checkered instead of the last three laps under yellow. Clean up the mess and put it back to green. Good lord.

I can't believe anyone would complain about anything to do with that race.

68 Lead Changes between 14 different drivers all while setting a record pace. Meaning the field was incredibly close even under long periods of green.

For instance, just before Graham Rahal spun with 7 to go there had been 3 green flag pit stop cycles and at that moment there were 23 cars on the lead lap and the 18th place car Ana Beatriz at that time trailed the leader by 7.5 seconds. Incredible Incredible racing.

I just hope Indy Car doesn't mess it up by allowing different aero kits in the future (at least for Ovals) like they talk about doing at times. The Oval racing last yr and now this 500 has been fantastic. I can not wait to see these guys at Pocono later this yr. It will be wild down that long front straight.

Please Indy Car do not mess with the car it is super. we have arguably had the best street race ever at Brazil earlier in May and now arguably the best 500 ever.

Where were people complaining about the race? Stating the finish was disappointing due to the final laps under caution is fact.

Was one of the most competitive Indy 500 races I can recall. But the finish left a lot to be desired.

any time a great race ends under caution it's like popping the balloon. NASCAR has made plenty of dumb choices, but the green-white checker was one of their best ones. Does Indy racing not use a red flag? Could they not have halted the race and run the last lap under green?

All over twitter people were complaining about it. So much so that Adam Alexander asked Robin Miller about it on Speed Center this evening.

PS - Robin Miller's comments were awesome. 1st he said the people on twitter weren't here. Everyone was standing and cheering those final 2 laps. 2nd he said the people that bought tickets paid to see a 500 mile race and that is exactly what they got.

This was the BEST Indy race I have ever seen. THE BEST! However, ending the last three laps under caution was a darn shame. With as many passes as they had, as many lead changes they had, just think how those last couple last would have been.

I'm not upset because TK won; he is well deserving. Like I mentioned, the race was awesome. The ending was a complete let-down. Now if they would have went with a G-W-C and there was another wreck, well, at least they tried it.

I was very happy to see AJ running as well as he did. He had the fastest car for the middle portion of the race and proved he should have a full time ride soon. I was also very impressed with Munoz in his first IndyCar race.

Indy does use a red flag and I would have been ok with that option. the flip side of a green white checker would be that one of the guys like RHR, Marco, Tony etc get taken out late by a stupid move when they had been at the front all day. Sometimes a clean finish after a great race is the perfect ending.

Think about how ****** we'd be if they tried 3 green white checkers and it still ended under caution with a lot of good drivers that had worked hard being taken out. there is an argument to be made that green white checker finish could have put a black eye on what was otherwise a fantastic race.

well I don't watch Indy, but I always hated NASCAR races ending under caution. Absolutely hated it. They've had several races that have used all three green white checkers and those are some of the most exciting races I've watched.

Great, great race! If you've never been, you gotta get to Indy. The prerace festivities are some of the most emotional, patriotic events ever. Definitely tears in my eyes today. Seeing about 10 Medal of Honor recipients parade around the track with a bunch of other service men & women... WOW. True heroes.
