UT figuring out what Texas Tech went through.. Don't hire a Beard assistant and expect Beard success.

I can't wait to watch this fail

Texas was in such ****** position. After the run they made in the Big 12 and Ncaa tournament, there's no way they couldn't hire Perry. They would be roasted by the media. Yet, so many can see that he's likely not the long term homerun Texas wants.

I don't feel sorry for them though. They're Texas, so they are in the conversation for just about any coach, at any time. So three years from now, they'll just have to buy out Perry, and try again at getting the perfect coach.

Sometimes there is a guy behind the guy that makes them successful, sometimes it's a combination of the guy and the guy behind the guy, and sometimes it's just the guy.

Got a Texas fan coworker who immediately said Rodney Terry wasn’t going to work out and he’s expecting Shaka Smart type seasons for the next three years.

247 has released their final 2023 rankings.
Omaha Biliew #12 (up 2)
Milan Momcilovic #31 (up 1)
Jelani Hamilton #139
Kayden Fish #195

Couple of things strike me. 1) Kentucky will be loaded. 4 recruits in the the top 19 (3 in the top 6!), and a 5th at #72.

2) Baylor be Baylor., even without Tang.

3) I was interested in how Jerome Tang was going to recruit in his 2nd year (1st full recruiting cycle). He did pretty good.

Now that they can practice, I’m seeing videos and while I don’t expect much of anything from him yet, I am loving what I see from Kayden Fish. He’s a big dude and brings an extremely positive energy.
He may be that guy that we only see a little bit of this upcoming season but then turns into a monster as a sophomore.
