***OFFICIAL*** Bulls confident Hoiberg next Bulls coach

Just watched the video of it on ESPN. Made me want to puke , especially when I listened to Gar Forman say in their press conference of the Thibs firing how they weren't going to rush it and they hadn't even made a list yet. And whether it took 1 day, 2 wks, or 2 months they'd find the right fit. Now that certainly was a bunch of "Bull", wasn't it. Like we didn't know they already had their man. You think they could have spared their own fan base with that wasted message.... a list...hahaha. On a more serious note, I'm glad this won't drag out and the day I watch his press conference I'm going to be very very sad. But I appreciate everything Fred brought to Cyclone basketball.

Gar didn't lie about not having a list yet. It's semantics, but you don't need a list when you already have your man. ****!

Does Fred really hate JP? I'm trying to rationalize why he would leave what he has here.

It most likely has nothing to do with JP or ISU. It has everything to do with Hoiberg wanting to be an NBA head coach. He's talked about that publicly, he structured his contract at ISU to make it clear to NBA teams he was not going to be costly to get, he has a rolodex full of NBA execs and coaches who have been telling him for years he is cut out for that job.

If he leaves ISU, I will feel bad for what might have been. But I am not going to try and lay blame for it anywhere other than where it belongs. If Hoiberg leaves, it will be because it is what he wants.

Tell Jamie to schedule his press conference for 1 minute after the conclusion of the Bulls' press conference.

The things that I keep coming back to in my mind:

1. Either Fred, or probably someone on his behalf, said that the losses at Iowa State just kill him because of his emotional investment in this place. This would certainly be easier somewhere else.

2. His health. He probably doesn't take anything for granted after what he's been through, and may feel it's now or never to take a shot.

3. With #2 in mind, if he wants to take that shot soon, now is the best time in the foreseeable future, as the team is stacked with senior talent.

I personally will not be watching a press conference announcing Fred Hoiberg as the Bulls coach. I have no interest in non-ISU Fred.
