Official attendance?

Given they don't use scanners at the gate..I suppose it's hard to get a true count of attendance.....but that seemed like the biggest crowd I have seen at j trice. The south end zone looked bowled in. Anybody got insight to the attendance from sats game?

I agree that it looked full. I thought I read somewhere that it was like 52,000 but I could be wrong. I expected it to be higher than that.

It was packed everywhere. Really impressive crowd in numbers and noise.

well, there used to be around 2000 more seats.

The renovations took away about 3000 seats. Where the new suites went.

Not Rocket Science. They count how many tickets were sold.

No offense (as this seems to be a reoccuring question), but the only number that really matters (ie....$$$$$$) is tickets sold...not butts in the seats. There is no motivating factor to count actual fans in the stands (other than curiousity), so why do people assume the attendance figure is anything OTHER than tickets sold?

They do count how many are actually there but the announced attendance is always paid not actual.

This doesnt sound right. Maybe biggest for a conference opponent. I thought the game against UNI in 2008 set the record.

That game was in 2007, with 56,795.
A few weeks later when we hosted Texas, we had 52,060.
