Kasongo isn't near the caliber of transfer we need to be signing to be successful.
We've got plenty of available scholarships to go out and get more and Kasongo has been able to practice with the team this year. Unless someone is hearing something bad about him, I'm not sure what those thoughts are based on.
The thoughts are based on the fact that he averaged 1.4 ppg on an mediocre Tennessee team. One of the paysites has also mentioned that some of their tennesse sources thought he wasn't exactly a "team first" kinda guy.
We don't have any spots for mid-year.
I haven't heard anything in Kasongo yet, but that probably signals he's nothing special.
I've seen him play live a few times. He seems like a one-dimensional guy -- good 3-pt shot but gets pushed around underneath and doesn't seem to handle the ball well or be that fast. I noticed Florida was having its way with him on D at the Orlando tourney and I believe he didn't come back in in the 2nd half.
If he spends his transfer year working on his game, his new team could intro him Chris Berman-like as New "And Improved'Williams.Buh dum bum.
