That happened to me too. There's actually a poll. I don't know why it didn't show up the first two times I looked.
I voted they suck, but quality can be taken a couple of ways. For us, imo, yes, they are a quality opponent. The game could get tricky if we aren't careful. It's a win we desperately need. The rest of the college world though, and that's how I voted, look at them as a non-opponent.
That being said, I'd rather play Kent St. And any other D1A team rather than the old 1 AA (Champioinship? still can't get that straight) team. I just don't see how it benefits us at all. Those games, for the most part, are a lose lose for us, while teams like SDSU or UNI, can't lose.

They suck. The real question is "Will ISU find a way to suck more?" History says yes but damn it would be a tough one to swallow.
This game scares the crap out of me because I fear a loss there means a slippery slope type season (like last year's) could easily happen.

I voted "suck" in honor of that other thread and me getting sucked into reading the whole thing...
My thoughts exactly. They absolutely suck ***. They have NEVER sold out their home stadium. There is no reason for us to lose this game.

Traditionally the suck and would be considered a "cupcake" game. Today's college football world is different though. You see so many teams playing D1AA opponents now. I think you can say they have been upgraded from "they suck" to they are "below average" as far as a scheduled non conference opponents goes
I'm just waiting for ajk4st8 to pick us to go winless. He's got to be the definition of anti-homer: obviously an ISU fan (not a troll), but with absolutely no hope. I appreciate his presence in the face of those who think we're a lock for a bowl game, and I guarantee he won't be disappointed this season. I just can't bring myself to be quite as negative. I don't expect much from this season, but if we can't squeeze 4 wins out of this puff schedule, I'll be worried about CPR.
Im probably a lot more optimistic than I post. Ive been picking about 4 wins this year. But after watching us lose to UNI, Kent State, Toledo, UNLV in the past few years... its hard to expect much of a huge win anytime. Much less a game on the road early in the year.
We all know that our offense will be pretty darn good next year. It just seems like we are taking the same guys on defense and expecting to be a lot better. Deep down Im hoping that scheme was the reason we were getting trounced.
