Look at Kane's amazing improvement YOY and his overall numbers in the toughest conference in the country and tell me he doesn't deserve to be at least a 2nd team All-American...

His upgrades in shot efficiency are mind boggling. His stat line is as good or better in nearly every category (except FT%) than Trey Burke was last year as Wooden Award winner.

I know our pace is quicker than many other teams but it still seems unfair neither Ejim or Kane made the final Wooden ballot. What am I missing here?

Hope these guys make a huge run and keep on building the respect they deserve.

Kane is Marcus Smart who can shoot. He's had an AA type season but he'll probably be overlooked.

What's with these no love for Kane, and "no love for ISU after winnign big 12 tourney" posts today

Agree, It almost always takes a lot of preseason hype to get those accolades. He had none.
Now, if we beat the odds and reach the FF, he will likely have played so well he gets drafted, which would be even better.

Sounds like someone needs a hogue.

HA! I could start a thread "No love for Hogue" as he played out of his mind this weekend. Watch the KU tape again or last minutes of KSU game.

Of course, Kane and Cyclones are getting accolades from usual suspects like Fraschilla, Medcalf, Parrish, and Cyclone faithful. Just pointing out that statistically and from a MOP perspective he is getting overlooked on post-season awards on a national level.

As a statistics guy, it is mind-boggling how much improvement we have seen in Kane, Ejim, and Long's shooting and efficiency this year. It is way outside the normal bounds of YOY improvement.

I LOVE KANE. but no really talks about him at all and if someone is talking about iowa state they talk about ejim

This is the second thread I've read today about "no love" for something that's been getting a ton of love.

Kane is First Team All-Big XII, Big XII Newcomer of the Year, on the Conference Tourney team, and on several Third Team All-American teams.

Yeah, he was slighted on the Wooden List finalists, but that's about it. There has been a TON of love for Kane.
