I saw the post about the new wrestling collective, Cardinal and Gold. I immediately wondered if this was competition for We Will. Later in the discussion someone mentioned that We Will was for FB, MBB, and WBB. Thus, there is no duplication of effort. I went to the Cardinal and Gold site and, while all the photos were wrestling related, the verbiage was about student athletes and I didn’t see any mention of wrestling exclusivity. I then went to the We Will site and I read about supporting student athletes, but I didn’t see any mention of exclusively supporting FB, MBB, and WBB.

It seems to me, if the collectives are going to support some sports and not others, their materials should make this clear so that donors can direct their donations how they prefer.

Since this is about collectives in the general discussion forum:

Saw that Utah has a new deal where they are leasing brand new pickups for every one of their 85 scholarship FB players. It is a 6 month lease and the lease is voided if the player transfers or loses eligibility. How is that last part kosher when their playing is supposed to not be a condition of NIL deals per the NCAA? Sounds like pay for play...

You guys should see the email someone just sent to my CPA email because I posted "time to change insurance companies".

If you are reading this post you are a dork and can't take jokes. Most posters on here know I joke around all the time. And please tell my clients (that you think you know) and my racing sponsors I said that because they will laugh at you too.

You know, if it wasn't for Cyclone Fanatic, I would have no idea who Caitlin Clark is. Can't believe she is relevant enough nationally for something like this.

You must not watch Channel 13 news
I live out of state. I really don't think she is well known at all outside Iowa, even by big sports fans. Her final four antics were big news back home, but to the rest of the world her 30 seconds of fame is ancient history by now.

People out here who like hoops know her.

I'll admit I am a sports nut and I do learn a bit from watching the Cyclone women, but in general, if there's a fantastic female player in the college game, I've usually at least heard of her. I think she gets more attention than average because she's a high scorer, and hits some ridiculous long range shots.
