undefeated while coaching at Iowa State now I’m the NBA finals. Glad to see an Iowa boy coaching at the highest level and succeeding.

The guy has done a amazing job in Toronto and is in the NBA finals after years of grinding it out in places a lot of coaches wouldn't succeed.

IF he could recruit. Nobody on this board loves Nick Nurse more than I do but I think we often underestimate the importance of recruiting when comparing these NBA coaches to college coaches. It's a grinding process not made for every coach.

Interesting that Pollard had him pegged as a candidate before ultimately giving the job to Fred. Probably known on here at the time, but I must have blacked out the dark ages of the McDermott era.
