I have even heard first round, but I agree that sounds about right. I can see him being a perfect match for Popovich, and come on who better to play for right now. I love me some POP!
We link all of our players to San Antonio. People thought Melvin there, too, for the same sort of reasons (a little undersized, but super high-character and versatile, etc.). Can't happen to all of them.![]()
People have it in their head that San Antonio loves unorthodox players, or tweeners for some reason. If anything, Golden State is the team that best utilizes an undersized power forward with guard like shooting and passing ability (Draymond Green). The only player San Antonio has had that gets anywhere close to resembling Niang's game is Boris Diaw, but he played a long time for others teams before he ever went to the Spurs. The Spurs love drafting foreign players in the 2nd round so I don't know why everyone thinks they'll pick Georges. They might, but they are not anymore likely to want him than any other team. If anything, I would think they wouldn't want him because of his liability on defense and San Antonio is usually a sound defensive team.
C'mon. I don't care for Goodman but that was a harmless joke. Get over it.I'm not usually one of those that gets their panties in a wad about what some talking head says, but Goodman tweeted something like ~Niang gets combine invite, now favorite to win the vertical~. What a dooshbag, get a new joke, it's been done.
Maybe every time people bring up Goodman it should be about how he has a really weird face with big weird cheeks and mouth.
I would love for Georges to go to SA can you imagine how much better he would be on offense learning from Duncan and Diaw?
