Ok, I know there is still a game yet to be played tonight, and 2 weeks don't make an entire season, but I thought I would throw out some stats that are pretty interesting, to say the least. Some are downright shocking.

Through 2 weeks:

- Jay Cutler is the highest rated passer in the league at 121.2.
- Darren McFadden is second only to Arian Foster in rushing yards with 240.
- Rookie Jahvid Best leads the league in scoring with 30 points, yet the Lions
are 0-2.
- Houston is 2-0 despite being ranked 31st in total defense.
- The high flying offenses of last year's Dallas, Arizona, and Minnesota squads are currently scoring 13.5, 12, and 9.5 points per game respectively.

The Cowboy offense reminds me of something I'd see from the hapless Raiders. Ineffective and tons of penalties. The team is undisciplined, period.

IMO, the Lions are incing closer. Some nice talent up there. Just need to know how to win - and how to not get hosed by the officials.

You mean "hosed by the rules". The official got the call right, it's just an awful rule.

This. Can't blame the official for calling it what the rules say it is. Blame the NFL for a crappy rule.

Vikings really need to sign Vincent Jackson. If they can get him, they will be fine this year. Right now all Favre has to throw to is Shincoe and a beaten up Harvin. Get Jackson, get Rice healthy, cut Berrian (he sucks).

Vikings offense moved the ball good enough to score 30 points yesterday but failed to score 4 times in the redzone!! 4 times!

Bret has some work to do.

Big brother beats up on little brother.

Jarrard is not accurate.

Sage is drawing a paycheck and waiting.

I agree. With healthy receivers, they win that game yesterday. That's why I'm not freaking out about being 0-2. There's time to right the ship. I am worried that they might overpay for Vincent Jackson, though. He'd be a good get talent wise, but a risk off the field.

I still don't know why they didn't go after Housh when they had the chance. he wanted to play for Minny after he got cut. The ravens got him for almost nothing.

He won't play until Week 6 @ Dallas.

They could easily be 1-3 by then and need to go 9-3 just to have a chance at the Wild Card.

I think overpaying for VJ would be a bad move, but then again, I thought that begging Favre to come back would be a bad move too.

Vikings need receivers, but they also need to get Favre and the WR corp to get on the same page.

Chiefs being 2-0 is a big shocker to me right now, especially with how bad Cassel has looked

The Chiefs have a very favorable schedule. They only play 3 more teams who made the playoffs last year. (Arizona, Indy, and San Diego) They have a shot at a pretty good record if they can get right on offense.

With what has happened with the Bears through 2 games, I truly hope they are trying to make a move for V Jackson. They could use a good receiver to help them stay pace with the Packers...

Steelers 2 - 0 with Dennis Dixon running show for 1st game, then he is out in 2nd quarter yesterday & Charlie Batch has to lead the way.
Still, they are able to win. Why? Because with Polamalu back, they have the best defense in the league.
Harrison is filthy-powerful, and you do not want to get hit by him. He & Ray Lewis are the top hitters (IMO) in the league.
However, others like Bryant McFadden are underrated. He popped Chris Johnson yesterday & he was a little shook up.
Two plays were very impressive. One, when Harrison & 2 others (I believe Keisel & Woodley) wrapped up Vince Young and pile drived him into the ground and second, when Polamalu lept over the line on a goal-line QB sneak to tackle & stop Kerry Collins. The WR in the picture turned to the sideline with the biggest WTF look on this face - it was awesome.
When we get Ben back, watch out. Don't get me wrong, I believe he is over-rated. However, if he doesn't lose the game, he is a large improvement over our other options.

Here we go, Steelers, here we go!

He's eligible Week 5.
