NFL Prospects

Other than Austin Fischer?

Qujuan Floyd and Dale Pierson would probably have the best shot, but they are a long shot I would guess. The majority of our best talent won't be graduating.

Floyd will sign somewhere and have a chance. He is having a tremendous season. Pierson, maybe, but I doubt he makes a roster or practice squad. What about Bundrage? I know he doesn't have the hands of an NFL WR, but his breakaway speed is really good and he seems to run solid routes. I wonder if Jamison Lalk will get a look at all. His name doesn't get throw around much, but he is a quality lineman and rarely makes mistakes.

CPR said a lot of teams have asked about Lalk.

I saw #9 on kickoff coverage on the last kickoff last Saturday. I wonder if he is trying to expand his skill set?

(unless there is another #9 that looks very similar)

I would have never guessed Floyd would be our best senior prospect before the season began. Haven't paid much attention to him.

Honestly although Bundrage is what 22 it might be best for him to return next year. Is waiting a year really going to affect his chances that much? It's not basketball. Now that we have what appears to be a competent QB and OC it might make sense for him to come back. He prob won't though.

Pierson has good speed and he might have a shot at playing Lb in a 3-4. He's too short and small to play DE in NFL. He does however have good speed for a DE and I can see him playing in a 3-4.

Unless i missed it, he'll need a miracle medical hardship waiver to stay next year.

CPR said Its not likely he gets a medical RS, so he can't come back.

That just seems ridiculous to me. He only played 4 plays!

Yeah, it seems like he's the exact reason they have medical redshirts. I was floored to read that Rhoads doesn't think it's likely. I'd like to know why that is, unless it's just "we're Iowa State".
