Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Russ Grimm, and **** LeBeau all in as expected. But Rickey Jackson and John Randle borderline guys also in. Thoughts??

Rickey Jackson is not a hall of famer. John Randle is deserving, but suprised he got in this early. It took them years to get Derrick Thomas in. Shame on you Hall of Fame. 58

both Randle and Jackson are top 10 all time in sacks. That's pretty hard for judges to ignore.

Ricky Jackson was a great player. I think Pat Swilling was better in that 3-4 dome patrol defense.

Throw in Sam Mills and Vaughn Johnson and that was one of the greatest group of LB's assembled ever.....just didn't think any individually were HOF material.

I agree with that and they both deserve to get in but I was a little shocked they got in this early. I could see Jackson getting in this year because the Saints are in the Super Bowl thou

Sacks haven't been a registered stat all throughout the years though. I'm sure there are some old-timers that had good numbers too that were never tallied.

If not THE Best, and agreed none were hof guys.

agreed, but it doesn't change the fact that they are still top 10 as far as the NFL statistics go. That is impressive to a selection committee regardless of when the league started tracking sacks.

If I remember right there was a year where 10 of the 11 starters on the NFC Pro Bowl team came from the Saint and the Eagles.

You're probably right.....Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Andre Waters,Eric Allen, and Seth Joyner are the Eagles I remember back then.....might not have been all those guys getting in.
