Give it to Montreal, name them the Expos, make their home unis powder blue, and I'm in.

2023 Des Moines population: 566,000

Just sayin’

(But no, Des Moines isn’t getting an NFL franchise)

If Des Moines got an NFL team I would still be a huge Bears fan. It would take a while to build a fan base. How many 6-12 year old Iowa chief fans are going to switch to a Des Moines team?

They should have added a second Chicago team years ago in the blundered Chicago Olympic bid with a new stadium. Even with new bears stadium the demand for tickets is insane even when they suck.

I thought they wanted to add four teams overseas to be its own division? Although I’m not sure how that works with there already being even teams/divisions in each conference.

Personally I thought that after they added another regular season game, they would quickly go to everyone plays one neutral site game a year. 8 home, 8 away, 1 in another country.

The Bears are such a dominant brand, any owner considering moving there would have to weigh how long it would take to build a sustainable brand. But Chicago is definitely capable of supporting two teams.

It amazes me Europeans care when they don't grow up playing the sport and European players are so rare. I get why they'd follow the NBA in Europe or why they'd follow MLB in Japan/Korea/LatinAm.
