Anyone else think it is stupid that it's the exact same match ups as this week? I don't understand how two division rivals play in the wild card. I know its the 3 and 6 seeds but I think it should be just like baseball, no inter division games(series). Either way lookin forward the Boys beating the Eagles for a third time next week!!

Luck of the draw. Only way to avoid it would be to get rid of the wildcard and go with just four division champions or increase the teams up to eight for each league.

Still shocked by today's outcome and they way it was done. Hard to beat a good team 3 times though.

When are the dates/times announced? Would only be able to watch the game (Dallas) if it's played Saturday night.

I'm sure the NFL had this planned at the beginning of the season. It was luck that it happened this way. First time I have seen that.

I'm sure they meant to do it along all along... Along with telling teams not to play starters if they have a locked playoff game, because it hurts fantasy football.:jimlad:

It's happened 12 out of 19 times though. Not as hard as it seems.

Even If you were not able to attend, watch or listen to this game you would certainly know that (Dallas wasn't going to magically fix critical issues).....?

But we would certainly look forward to your expert analaysis.......

Oh goodie, the "thou shall not say anything critical of ISU MBB" chastising shall continue!

actually I think it's more of a "He who doth not watch, nor listen, nor attend, and yet still offer of his paltry wisdom, shall be known as 'halfwitted gasbag' throughout the land." I can see how you might make the mistake.

Sure looked like the Eagles were trying hard today, huh? I think Philly is a paper tiger. They have not defeated a single playoff team all season. Not one. The game would have been a bit different if McNabb had hit some of his open receivers. I think the key was getting him off rhythm early with the pressure and he seemed to be always looking for it after that.

The Dallas defense has won them the last 3 games and has played well enough to have won the 2 that were lost before that (Chargers, Giants). Getting a ton of pressure on the QB and Jenkins is developing into a top corner that must be respected. Offensively, good to see some life - but I'm still worried every time they take the field. Not because of turnovers, because Tony has played his smartest season in his career. But they can be too predictable at times. I'm encouraged that finally, they seem to have no concern of trying to make sure Roy Williams gets touches and are going to the playmakers. It's not time to make people happy, it's time to win.

I'm still not sure what to think of this team but they are on a roll - at the right time. Barber having a big game was a welcome reemergence. Miles Austin has hands of glue, the catches that guy makes continues to amaze me. Undrafted pro bowl caliber quarterback throwing to an undrafted pro bowl wide receiver. Good stuff.

Why would you sandbag to lose a bye? Hope you were joking.

Just throwing it out there; I have no idea. I had thought that with Minnesota winning that Philly and Dallas would end up playing each other anyway, but that wasn't the case. Who knows? Either way, I'm still not sold on the Cowboys.

You guys just are too easy and can't read. I could have lied, made no note of not being there and continued to comment on this team's entire body of work thus far (which is all I did). What does this have to do with the NFL again? Nothing.

Neither am I. However, if the Eagles sandbagged the game, that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. If they had won, they would have the #2 seed and at worst would host one game (two if the Saints lost). That's huge, especially considering the Eagles are one of only 2 outdoor cold weather teams in the NFC playoffs (other being the Packers).

Now if you want to say by the end of the 3rd or early 4th quarter, Philly didn't throw the kitchen sink to try to get back in it - that's possible. But it would be the dumbest thing Reid has ever done if they didn't give their best effort to come out on top when they had a chance.

I'm going to with Philly can't be possibly be as bad as they looked today, just like Dallas probably wasn't as bad as they looked last year when Philly did them in the season finale.

Not sold on Dallas? Are you guys serious? The offense is playing very well against some really good defenses as of late and the defense is playing unbelievable. I'm guessing that almost no one realizes that the Dallas D has the second best scoring D in the league and #1 in the NFC giving up an average of 15.6 points a game. They given up a total of 16 points in two games against a Philly team that averages almost 29 points a game. This D is so underrated and have dominated teams as of late. You guys can say what you want but if I were you guys I wouldn't sleep on them.
