Next year's Depth Chart ?

I think Jared Barnett will take over at QB, Shontrelle at RB, the offensive line is a question mark minus KO, Hicks and Burris....Patrick Neal starts where Rashawn Parker was, and it'll be a competition between Givens, Earl Brooks, and possibly Jeremy Reeves in place of departed David Sims....
We are building talent and depth as our LBs, who have played great this year all return.
O' Connell and Sims will be gone in the secondary, but Johnson, Benton, and Reeves will be back w/ quite a bit of experience. Overall, I feel good about the D.
The offense key will be who becomes our starting QB? We are developing depth at the RB, so I feel good there. Someone will need to step up amongst the receivers, as Franklin, Williams are graduating.

I think defense should be pretty good next year, probably our strength. I'm worried about the QB position, if it's Tiller, we are in trouble.
Obviously, we take a step back next year. However, we've seen that we can pull a surprise once in awhile. I think we're going to be pretty weak in the OL, DL, and secondary. Sims is our best run stopper. Offensively, you don't replace a kid like AA and expect a similar level of performance. He's been through the wars and has performed admirably. Tiller may be a slight athletic upgrade, but he doesn't throw the ball well and hasn't been asked to win a game. Robinson is a more complete back than SJ right now. If SJ can get dramatically more physical in the offseason, rb might be the best position we have in terms of finding adequate replacement for a senior.
I don't know. I thought 5-7 was going to be a good year this year. I didn't think Texas was going to be so bad so I really think 6-6 is what we need to see this year. Next year, I think 5-7 would be even better than it is this year.
not so fast my friend. i hope that rony nelson is starting in place of parker, and neal gets his normal snaps. doubt reeves goes to safety-too small. we will have to replace both of our safeties-probably washington goes to 1, maybe broomfield/brooks the other.
qb should be a wide open competition. shontrelle will probably start with woody getting a lot of reps. would like to see richardson at te, but probably see hammerschmidt take over for franklin.
oline-we have 5 freshmen redshirting this year, along with the juco transfer caspers-i gotta believe he fills 1 of the holes, not sure if lichtenberg gets the other? jake williams will be tough to replace as well.
we are going to be losing a TON as far as leadership goes-AA, AROB, Lamaak, Sims, MOC all seem to be great leaders.
I think we miss Sims' run stopping ability the most on defense. Maybe Benton could drop back to SS and leave Reeves at corner. I'm not sure who will take over at FS though, Broomfield?
