It seems like people are talking more and more about a system that will be around on Friday/Saturday. What do all those folks on here that closely follow the weather think about this system. At 6:00 channel 13 talked about measurable snowfall and wind. Just curious?

I heard the storm of the century was supposed to move in next week. I don't know if it is true or not but at this point I don't know why it wouldn't be.

Hey Farva what's the name of that weather system you like with all the goofy snow that happens in winter?

well, know I think we're obligated to fully de-rail this thread with super troopers quotes that can be made applicable to weather.

"Sorry about that, Bruce. These boys get that weather info in 'em, they get all antsy in their pantsy."

Years like this remind me of why I can't wait to graduate and move to a location where I can do something with this snow any day I want. 3+ foot deep areas on flat land does nothing. Put the 3+ feet on a mountain and I'll be content for hours while making laps. Sucks that states like Colorado and Utah, where the winter economy is highly dependent on tons of snowfall and the tourist draw, aren't getting squat (relatively) and will struggle to have long ski seasons.

I actually love winter and all the snow it brings. (I am now fully prepared to be tarred and feathered around here).

Looks like residual snow and freezing drizzle Thursday night and Friday. Main storm will arrive on Saturday and Sunday. Right now it could be in the 4-8" range...but who knows as we are still 4 days out. And yes another winterstorm the middle of next week...still too early to tell if it will hit us or how strong...
