There is a line in the sand for me. Anyone who lures an international journalist to a meeting where he has been guaranteed he will not be harmed and they kill him and cut his body into pieces. That's the line- I would reject the donors money-

Let’s face it:
All high-ideals aside, Iowa State (or any other institution for that matter) would take that money in a heartbeat.
A clever institution would attempt to muddy the money trail a little bit, but make no mistake- they’re cashing that check.

Most people, including myself, would take the money if it was to us as a person. Why would we expect money-hungry universities to be any different?

I absolutely love Newcastle and the NE. Used to travel there for work frequently. Now I'm not a million soccer star and I can see it not being their cup of tea, but to me it's a phenomenal area.

It's why we love the NFL. Any team is a rich owner and star player away from the playoffs
