New Bracketology

I agree that we'll be higher, but I kind of like the idea of getting to play UNI, then upset Roy Williams

Fun that we're in the discussion, but we have a lot of games to play. We need to get through the non conference with no more than 2 losses or we'll be stuck with a crappy seed even with a good Big 12 showing.

How do we go from a 7 seed in August to a 13 seed play in game in November?

Does seem a little strange — but his August bracket also listed ISU as "Last four in" (and L4I/FFO are same on both lists). So either he didn't update the bubble teams, or he was off on his initial seeding for ISU (perhaps others, too?)

Yeah I guesses those are both possibilities. Pre season rankings are worthless anyways

no way a Big 12 team will be a 13th seed in the NCAA Tournament...

Does ISU get the home court advantage in playing in Austin from the Longhorn fans? You gotta believe they will cheer against UNC then Mizzou of course..

Lunardi loves him some Big 10, and for the most part he doesn't throw a ton of respect ISU's way. He got a LOT of flack last year from ISU fans when he predicted they weren't even a tournament team.

Are you possibly confusing Lunardi with Jerry Palm from CBSSportsline.com? Palm is the one whom I remember from last season not giving us much respect while simultaneously predicting that Northwestern would make it into the tournament.

JohnnyFive is likely confusing it with Palm — I think Lunardi had ISU in near-lock area after win @KSU; Palm still had it in bubble range.

I hate that mid seed play in game.
I agree. I don't know why they don't just seed everyone with the bottom 8 rated teams as 16 seeds that have to play in against each other. It would actually give those teams a little excitement because they would actually have a realistic chance of winning a game before becoming the sacrificial lamb for the #1 seeds.

Only way we get lower than a 12 is if we wouldn't have made the tourney but got the automatic bid for the conference tourney.
