Guys, I can't believe the new attitude around here; its hard to imagine all the fighting and complaining that was going on here just a few short months ago. God that was a dismal, depressing time. Thank you Freddy and TJ and to Jamie for taking the chance.

I disagree with everything said so far and everything that will be said :jimlad: (not sure if he is needed, but don't want to start a fight :wink:)

Re: New altitude ++

The two coaches CPR/FH are player friendly, super organized, young, self starters, just getting started as HCs, native, and motivated. Hey, that appears to be a huge plus and upgrade from their predecessors.

It's actually quite boring.
Can we start a rumble with Nebraska, or something?

Just wait, @sportstalkmatt will probably get us all riled up this afternoon.

The fighting will start again after the season starts, just for different reasons. Don't be fooled by the temporary lull, it will get dismal and depressing again.

It's amazing what bringing in some B12 level talent will do for a program.

This might get things rolling. A couple of tweets about ISU throwing in the towel. I'm a novice so I don;t know if those came from Matt or not. I assume so.

How does getting transfers equate to that? it's not like we aren't trying to get young talent at the same time. Did he want us to sign 3 jucos for this year? That's a dice roll we've all been through.

Just read the tweets by sportstalkmatt and the "throwing in the towel" comments were from writing off the coming year to focus on 2011. Duh. I guess he just figured that out. Players like Anderson who could contribute this year are extremely rare and all the JUCOs who had enough talent to contribute right away were already locked up before Freddy was even given the job. So Freddy concentrated on transfers that won't be eligible until 2011, what was he supposed to do?

The flood is a blessing in my mind. Clean out all that old McD crap and start over. The best thing that could of happen besides Creighton taking Caoch Mac.:cool:

I guess can see his point, but for the most part its too late to do anything about this year. Its not like we can get anyone good at this point that can play this year.

I don't think it is so much throwing in the towel as it is just plain looking forward.

Here's my proposal:

For this year's Midnight Madness, we have a round-robin tournament between the coaching staff (Hoiberg, Grayer, Lefty, et. al), practice squad (White, Babb, Booker, et. al), and the current eligible players (Ejim, SC, JVB, DG, et. al).

I'd pay to watch that...handsomely.
