I have been "volunteered" to make two sets of the "ladder golf" game for after-prom party. Does anyone have (or knows where to find) the specs to make it? Height, width, space between the steps on the ladder, space between the golf balls etc.
Thanks in advance.

How to Make a Ladder Golf Game

Build As Shown

How to make a ladder golf game (aka blongoball, bolo ball)
Steps

  1. Assemble as shown in the Picture. The 2-ft. pipes will be used for the back of the footprint as well as the ladder rungs. The front of the footprint doesn't need to be as long as the back because all the force is coming from the front.
  2. Set the ladders about 20 feet apart (this is up to you)
  3. Teams of 2, 1 person from each team on each side.
  4. Team 1 throws first, followed by the opponent on that same side.
  5. Points are as follows:
  6. Top Rung = 3 Points
  7. Middle Rung = 2 Points
  8. Bottom Rung = 1 Point
  9. Feel free to switch it around, top being 1, if you choose, sometimes its harder to get it on the bottom rung.
  10. Score is determined very similarly to Baggo (Cornhole, Bags), points cancel each other out. So if you score 4 but the other team scores 2 on that same round, you only get 2 points. Play up to 21, thats it!

Things You'll Need

  • 12 Golf Balls
  • 6 Pieces of 1/8" thick, 14" long, Nylon Rope
  • 14 - 2-ft Schedule 40 Pipes (smaller PVC pipe)
  • 16 - 1-ft Schedule 40 Pipes (smaller PVC pipe)
  • 12 PVC T's (that fit pipe above)
  • 12 PVC "L"'s (that fit pipe above)

I think I used 3/4" Pipe may have been 1". Hope that helps.

Ladder Golf Official Rules and Instructions
Bolas: A Bola consists of 2 golf balls attached together with a piece of nylon rope. Golf Balls are spaced 13â€￾ apart.
Ladder: The ladder is the structure that consists of 3 steps each spaced 13 inches apart.
Steps: Each ladder has 3 steps. The top step is worth 3 points, the middle 2 and the bottom 1 point.
Toss Line: The line that the players tosses from. Officially is set to 15 feet. For backyard games 5 paces works fine.

Etiquette of the Game:

Basic etiquette of Ladder Golf states that contestants should make as many remarks, sounds or movements as possible during play in order to distract the opponent’s during play. Touching the player during tossing is never allowed.

In the course of play no contestant is to walk to the ladder prior to completion of the current round of play.

I built one for my fiance for christmas. Let me know how I can help you!

Another suggestion. If you are building 2 of these you must invest in pvc cutters. They will more than pay for themeselves in the time you will save.

They look similar to this..and you can get them wherever you buy the pvc.
