I'm looking for two different photos that I intend on turning into wall murals (8' by 12') for my soon-to-be-born son's room. 1) Picture of the stadium/field/scoreboard taken from the window of the Jacobson Athletic Complex. I know I've seen one out there but I can't locate it anywhere. 2) Photo of the newly renovated track/stadium at Drake. I'm a track coach so I figure I can't start training him for State too early. Thanx!

Im curious how that works. Do standard pictures translate well to be blown up that big?

When you say the window of the Jake do you mean from the balcony??

From Drake facilities website...

Not usually, the resolution isn't big enough.

Even for may larger prints, I have to use a software (Genuine Fractals) to help "upsize" the image. But you can only go so far with that too.

For example, the image linked from the Drake website at that resolution would look horrid blown up. It wouldn't even look good printed as an 8x10.

Some of these vendors are good, others are crap. Look online for reviews of this vendor to see what others have said after actually receiving their products. Also, my comments above still apply - you need to have a higher resolution image to print it and have it look good.

Also, please do pay special attention to this from their site (this "rule" applies anywhere)

Wonder how hard they are to apply and remove.

If I was going to do the one at Trice I would try to take a series of images and stitch them together. One, because all my cameras have crop sensors and I don't have enough of a wide angle to get it all in. Two, it would make the original larger and would enlarge nicer.

Yup. Panoramas rock. Not as easy as one things to shoot and stitch together, but when executed well they look fantastic.
