Nebraska Regents informally agree to go to Big Ten

Just Heard on the Murph and Andy Show...

Chris Brown @ Orangebloods.com reports -- The Nebraska Board of Regents have informally agreed for UNL to join the Big Ten conference. It's begun folks, duck for cover!

No formal invite ATT.

We want the $10M loser's fee up front by Monday then.

Re: Just Heard on the Murph and Andy Show...

How many times has it "begun?"

It seems like this was a done deal a couple days ago. I am still in the camp that I don't see it happening

Isn't this something like the 8th different time we have heard Nebraska is going to the Big 10?

Just because people have called it a done deal for a few days doesn't mean Nebraska doesn't still need to go through the proper steps to get it done.

Some stuff has been back and forth (Missouri, Colorado, Baylor) but people haven't really been waffling on the Nebraska issue.

I was in the same camp last week, but there has just been to much smoke this week to think it won't happen.

According to this Chris guy they dont even hold an offer, so their board of regents is basically saying yes they will join the Big 10 if offered.

Its going to happen, no doubt about that. I just find it humerous that all of these different outlets are saying the same thing when no formal offer has been made.

Supposedly they've been offered informally. I figure the only way this doesn't happen is ND wakes up and says they'll join only if they are the only ones, and they are starting to run out of time if that's their position.

Someone prove to me that they have been formally invited, and I will care about them informally deciding to go there........

Program built prior to Title IX, Prop 48, at a time when they could offer kids to prevent them from going to competing schools. They could also legally use any PED's available, and turn in state walkons into top tier lineman....

Poor Nebraska, good luck in the Big 10 if it does happen......
