Nebraska loses one as well.....

Interesting that there's no note of Helu in that blurb.

Any recent updates on his status for Saturday?

from reports I've heard every back for NU has been getting reps with the first team O this week in practice. If I were to make an educated guess, Helu will play but not the entire game (similar to ARob)

Pelini is ready to "test" the players progress against the Cyclones? It's halfway through the season and big 12 play, they make it sound like we're Kent State. All the games are dogfights until the end at this point. He makes it sound like we're a measuring stick kind of cupcake for his team. I hate Nebraska arrogance. They deserve for us to pop 'em in the mouth and not just win, WIN BIG.

Do either of those players actually play (i.e. get on the field) for Nebraska?

Blake Lawrence (LB) played a pretty good amount the first 2 games, but hasn't played much since.

Chris Brooks plays a lot and was Nebraska's leading receiver last week.

Helu will play, but I'm guessing he will be limited like he was against Texas Tech.

the two nubby players aren't significant.

helu's injury could affect him. he's their best offensive threat.

but all will be golden for the clones, if they start green. (please, please)

the turnovers will be flowin.

Helu has been in the green "no contact" practice jersey all week. Earlier in the week, it was described as Helu having a "chronic shoulder injury" and that's all I know.

When you throw in the injury to top backup, Rex Burkhead, there's an issue of inexperience at RB. Not so much depth, but inexperience.

Brooks has 13 catches for 177 yards and 1 TD this year, according to ESPN.

He is tied with third most catches on the team...so yes, he does play
