So, I was bored and looking at the bonuses for preordering the game and this year the bonus has something to do with conferences.

Preorder from:
Gamestop=SEC
Amazon=PAC12
Walmart=BIG12

Couldn't find anyother store that is doing the bonus. I'm actually looking forward to this years game, because it looks like they have made changes to the actual gameplay. NCAA> MADDEN

not sure what the pre-orders are, but I am also excited about the gameplay changes. The addition of real time physics when carrying the ball will be a welcome addition, not to mention all of the new tackle breaking options

Like every other iteration it'll probably be pretty much the same as before and I'll probably still get it.

Has there been any information released about the game yet? Last year they did a whole series over about 3 months about the game but I haven't heard anything this year. I bought last year, so unless there's some pretty significant changes I'm sticking with my 2 year rotation.

What's the point? The genre was perfected by Tecmo many years ago. Player Tecmo Super Bowl or GTFO.

I'm pumped for this game as I am every time! I'm most excited for real time physics but also excited for what they've done to the run game. The acceleration meter is a fantastic addition so when you hit a hole you can go! I also like that power running backs will actually be useful in this game with the new physics.

I wonder if they'll have the ISUCF"V"MB in the correct section finally?

They had it last year didn't they?

Also, I couldn't give two ***** about that. I'd rather they spend time improving gameplay, recruiting, or dynasty mode.

I'd also be ok with them removing the one button play mode and using that space for improvements (like the white whale 85 man rosters, but that won't happen this gen)

That's good, like many people I only get a new version every few years, maybe it's time for an upgrade.

but things like one button play mode and mascot games take very, very little amount of resources to pull off. For one button play, it's just a matter of differing controls. For mascots, those resources exist in the game regardless. It doesn't require much more code to just reference a mascot player model instead of a football player model.

These modes are not in the game at the expense of anything else. They're basically throwaways.

That is a very valid point, but those modes aren't even worth one bit of space to anyone.

I wouldn't count on that until the next system because it would probably add a lot more time. Also, do you really need more than 70 players?

Edit: I just noticed you said the same thing after the bold.

Yeah you do, because they let you recruit 25 players per year. So eventually you are cutting juniors and seniors who are really good to allow yourself to have freshman who are eventually going to be better than them. Or you have to cut really good 4 and 5 star recruits because you recruited too well.

I would be ok with them cutting the yearly scholarship limit as well, so the playing field is even. The computer always signs big classes and automatically adds people to your classes at the end of the year if you haven't filled all 25 scholarships, but if you do that for 4 years you will have 100 players, which is 30 players over the limit. Which is crazy.

Having to cut so many guys always bothered me, too.

But I don't know if/when it changes. I buy one of these ever 3-6 years, so I don't really notice.

Also I play online dynasty with buddies and the best recruiting class is a bragging rights type of thing and you can't really win without signing 25, where it would be much better for the team to just focus on 20 and have a better class on average since I have to cut 5 players anyway.

Man you are cold! I usually stop recruiting when I know I will have to start cutting juniors or seniors to make way for a 4/5 star recruit. Even if they have given me minimal stats that is still 3-4 years of their digital lives and I think that means something.

The ODs I am in put limits on the number of schollies you can give out so you aren't signing 25 4 and 5 stars every year and cutting a bunch. Number of SRs leaving plus 3 usually. I like it because it balances out a bit. Everyone in the dynasty can get solid players and even the computer can grab some decent players if the users are full up.

I am intrigued by the new physics engine. It supposed to be like this years Madden which I heard that people like.
Always look forward to recruiting tweeks as well.
