I'm looking forward to the contest, tonight. Dwight Howard can flat out get up, and i'm sure he'll come out pissed off after last year. Jamarrio Moon can straight up fly. It doesn't hurt that he used to play for the Globetrotters and if you've watched his promo video, he can dunk from a few feet past the free throw line. Gerald Green won it last year, but i wasn't very impressed with him. I think he'll finish in last place this year. Rudy Gay has amazing ups and if you've watched any of the ideas sent in to him, he should put on a show. I also recomend watching the Youtube video titled WARNING DO NOT CLICK EXTREMELY WICKED DUNKS. Some of that stuff is unbelievable.

Haven't been at all interested in the dunk contest since MJ, Dominique, and Spud Webb were in it.
I think they should get rid of the Dunk contest and replace it with the "NBA Defense Contest." Make the players try to play defense. I'd be exciting for the NBA fans, because it's something they've never seen before, and you'd probably still have a share of monster dunks.
On a side note, looking at the SI homepage, I think Dirk needs a laxative...

I saw figure-8 school bus racing on ESPN2 once. Don't know if we'd be able to get an actual Vegas line on it though :smile:

i hope moon participates next year as he WILL win it next year if given the oppurtunity. he'll perfect the dunk behind the free throw line. i've heard rumors of him doing a 360 dunk where he dunks two balls and also one where he dunks over a six feet tall inflatable moon. i'm sure he can come up with something else in a year and hopefully he gets a second shot like dwight did this year. him and rudy gay i'm sure had better dunks than what gerald green came up with in the finals, although his birthday candle dunk was pretty amazing.
Dwight Howard had three of the most impressive dunks I've seen in my life on Saturday. I know that I've dismissed the event in recent years. I figured that all the good dunks have been done. I think we have a crop of creative guys that are going to do some great things in the next couple of years. Seriously, the man slaps the ball off the backboard to himself IN THE AIR! He was just completely ridiculous.
