Pretty aggressive move by the NBA but as I understand it they were down to two options - this or play games with no fans. I guess one of their players testing positive was enough to steer them in this direction. I know there are much bigger problems at hand in the grand scheme of things, but it'll be interesting to see how they tackle the details of the stoppage. From a logistics standpoint I have to think they'll just play a shorter regular season and start the playoffs as scheduled (assuming there's a postseason at all, which I suppose is no sure thing).

And the money problem...oof. Their tv partners can't be too happy about this.
 
I applaud the NBA for being the first major entity with widespread public reach to take action.
